About The Role
This 6-month role places you at the heart of dynamic markets, where your strategic thinking and client insight will drive impactful solutions. You will be the technical support to the Client Managers with a strong emphasis on costing responsibilities and support to senior members of the team, whilst building strong client relationships. Alongside pricing and client-facing work, you will also take ownership of key internal projects that contribute to the growth and success of the business.
This Covers
- Support the Senior Client Manager in managing Life & Health (L&H) and Medical business for the focused market, including the development of go-to-market strategies, business planning, and performance tracking.
- Significant costing responsibility for some of our key individual and group clients, working closely with Senior Marketing Actuaries to bring strong technical expertise to the client.
- Advise clients on the full spectrum of Swiss Re products and differentiating solutions to meet their strategic growth aspirations and Swiss Re’s business objectives.
- Building strategic relationships with key client contacts and foster trust and collaboration in all engagements.
- Engage and collate data from clients, perform the data analytics and co-present the results of the annual new business volume surveys.
- Own the quote process for assigned opportunities using technical expertise to support costing, review, and approve quotes within own authority
- Monitor in-force portfolio performance by tracking key metrics, compiling experience reviews, and supporting treaty actions as needed.
- Ensure operational excellence by coordinating treaty onboarding, payment tracking, data submissions, and audit logistics in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to internal initiatives, including product innovation, process improvements, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership efforts.
- Provide administrative and project management support to ensure timely execution of account-related activities including supporting the senior client manager in prioritising treaties for experience studies (ES) and open treaty reviews (OTR).

We strive to achieve our ambitious targets and celebrate these with as much enthusiasm as we deployed to reach them. We have a dual mandate in wholistically owning the client relationships, but also in owning a significant part of the technical offering for clients.
About You
We are seeking an outstanding client-centric communicator with entrepreneurial mind-set who can balance strong technical skills with a view of the "big picture" and ability to not get stuck in the detail, being cognizant of the longer-term market implications. You also demonstrate pro-active "hunting" attitude and ability to read people and build new relationships.
Requirements
- Nearly or qualified actuary, with 5 to 8 years' experience across different functions in the life and health insurance industry
- Actuarial Pricing and product development skills and experience in applying the Actuarial control cycle
- Interest in Customer Engagement and Servicing
- Experience in dealing with complex deals
