KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and oversee electrical construction projects from inception to completion
• Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets and resources
• Coordinate engineers, electricians, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
• Review electrical drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Monitor construction progress and resolve technical and project-related challenges
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications
• Manage procurement of materials, equipment and services
• Monitor project costs and identify potential cost overruns
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical legislation, standards and safety requirements
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and other project stakeholders
• Prepare progress reports, project documentation and handover documentation
• Oversee testing, commissioning and final completion of projects
• Ensure all project activities comply with company procedures and applicable industry requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• BEng / BSc / BTech / relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Professionally Registered with ECSA (Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng) – ESSENTIAL
• Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience in electrical construction and project management
• Proven experience managing electrical construction projects from planning through to completion
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction, installations, testing and commissioning
• Sound understanding of electrical regulations, standards and health & safety requirements
• Experience with project planning, budgets, procurement, scheduling and cost control
• Ability to manage contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
• Excellent report-writing, administration and communication skills
• Valid driver’s licence
• Computer literate.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required

Salary: Negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience
