New Product Developer - Western Cape

We are seeking a New Product Developer to join our client’s manufacturing facility in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will assist with development, improvement and introduction of new products while ensuring designs meet quality, cost and production requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate new products from concept through to production
• Assist with product design, development and testing
• Conduct trials, prototypes and product evaluations
• Collaborate with production, quality, engineering and other relevant teams
• Identify opportunities for product improvements and cost optimisation
• Prepare and maintain product specifications and technical documentation
• Investigate product performance and implement corrective improvements
• Support the introduction and implementation of new products into production
• Ensure developed products meet applicable quality and production standards
• Monitor project progress and communicate development outcomes

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• National Diploma Food Technology
• Food new product development experience
• Manufacturing industry experience
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of product development processes
• Ability to interpret technical information and documentation
• Communication and project coordination skills
