CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in commercial office and retail fit-outs. This role is suited to a hands-on project professional who can manage projects from initial brief and design coordination through to completion, while maintaining control of programme, cost, quality and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage turnkey commercial office and retail fit-out projects from inception to handover.
Coordinate clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and project teams.
Manage project budgets, cost control, cash flow forecasting and financial reporting.
Oversee tender processes, procurement, contractor appointments and contract administration.
Monitor project programmes, site progress, quality and construction standards.
Identify and resolve site issues and project bottlenecks efficiently.
Manage variations, claims, final accounts and project close-out.
Provide leadership and coordination to junior project managers and site teams.
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure project expectations are met.
Manage projects across multiple locations where required.

Requirements

Degree or relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related built-environment discipline.
Approximately 5–8 years' experience in construction project management.
Proven commercial office and/or retail fit-out experience.
Strong understanding of construction, budgeting, tendering and project controls.
Experience managing projects from design brief through to final account.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Commercially astute with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Willingness to travel nationally when required.
