What Will You Do

  • Attend audit team kick-off and close-out meetings.
  • Assist in drafting business understanding documents and related flow charts of allocated scope areas.
  • Assist in preparing data analytics audit program that is aligned to the Risk and Control Matrix (RCM) of the audit.
  • Validate data for completeness, validity and accuracy.
  • Conduct data analytics fieldwork in accordance with approved Internal Audit methodology, using relevant tools including ACL and SQL.
  • Document working papers associated with completed data analytics procedures.
  • Take responsibility to address and clear review notes.
  • Develop data analytics scripts for continuous monitoring purposes.
  • Identify process, data and control gaps and seek additional information if necessary.
  • Draft preliminary exception reports and findings for manager review.
  • Manage time in accordance with allocated audit budget and timeframe.
  • Identify, monitor and communicate overruns and inefficiencies.
  • Develop and utilise a sound understanding of business processes, risks and controls including relevant regulatory and accounting issues.
  • Manage client interaction for allocated areas of scope.
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders.
