Are you an experienced application engineer who enjoys modernising legacy Microsoft applications and delivering reliable Azure-hosted solutions?
We are currently building our IT talent database and are looking to connect with experienced Application Engineers for current and future opportunities. We are particularly interested in professionals with strong experience in C#, .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure application delivery, systems integration and application modernisation. - Provide technical leadership across application modernisation, cloud migration, development and ongoing technical support.
- Develop and maintain C# applications using ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core and modern .NET technologies.
- Design, develop and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server databases, T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing and performance issues.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs / Web APIs and support deployment across development, test and production environments.
Support Azure-hosted applications, production troubleshooting and migration of legacy .NET Framework / IIS / SQL Server workloads.
Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile:
Education
- BSc Computer Science, National Diploma in Information Technology or an equivalent relevant qualification is required.
- Microsoft SQL Server certification such as MCTS or equivalent current Microsoft database certification will be advantageous.
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-204, AZ-305 or AZ-104 will be advantageous.
- Additional information security qualifications will be advantageous
Experience
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience spanning web/application development, scripting/programming and SQL database administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core, .NET Framework and Microsoft web-development environments.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, schema design, stored procedures, indexing, backup/restore and performance troubleshooting.
- Experience with Azure application delivery, legacy application modernisation or cloud migration will be highly advantageous.
Skills
- C#, ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core and .NET Framework.
- Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, database administration and performance troubleshooting.
- Azure, REST APIs / Web APIs, Git and structured software-development workflows.
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or TypeScript, CI/CD and production application troubleshooting.
