Bookkeeper - Midrand

Numbers are your thing? Great — we’re looking for a Bookkeeper who loves getting the details right, keeping things organised, and making numbers make sense!

You’ll play an important role in keeping our client’s financial records accurate, up to date, and audit ready. You’ll work alongside accountants and auditors in a professional, fast-paced environment where accuracy, teamwork and a good attitude go a long way.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records.
• Process invoices, receipts, payments and other financial transactions.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly accounting and reporting processes.
• Prepare information and supporting documents for VAT and other statutory requirements
• Assist accountants and auditors with schedules and information required for client work.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or accounting queries.
• Keep financial records and documentation organised and audit ready.
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members.
• Meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• 2–3 years’ bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in an accounting practice.
• Experience with Sage, Xero, Pastel, QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of VAT and South African accounting requirements is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional communication skills and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
