Role Purpose

To perform business and system analysis tasks through specialization in understanding the business usage of information technology (IT) and helping technology add value to Momentum Investments. This includes transforming business requirements (functional & non-functional) into technical software requirements, while leveraging modern tools including AI-assisted analysis and automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and insight.

Requirements

  • BCom Informatics or BSC Degree.
  • Diploma in Business analysis preferred.
  • 4–7 years’ experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the investment environment.
  • At least 3 years’ IT experience working with integrated solutions.
  • Strong understanding of APIs.
  • Agile working experience preferred.
  • Adoption of AI-enabled business analysis practices and openness to adopting emerging technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Investigate and perform business analysis, determine business system requirements, and identify alternatives.
  • Set up and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather and refine business and system requirements.
  • Design and document innovative business solutions using IT and AI-enabled tools.
  • Translate business requirements into implementation detail using user journeys, user stories with acceptance criteria, process diagrams, data models, business rules, and mockups.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned to business and system architecture.
  • Assist technical designers to understand business requirements and participate in design discussions.
  • Test technical solutions, processes, and calculations; sign off functional, non-functional, integration, and AI-assisted testing activities.
  • Investigate and document business requirements to address process or system constraints resulting in repeated queries or errors.
  • Identify system trends and propose sustainable solutions, including AI-supported insights.
  • Enable trainers to compile process and training documentation, incorporating AI-driven learning aids where appropriate.
  • Ensure effective and consistent service delivery to internal and external clients in line with MMH values.

Technical Competencies Required

  • Ability to define Open APIs using OpenAPI editor.
  • Ability to create low-fidelity UX mockups.
  • Basic UML design skills.
  • Working knowledge of Postman, SoapUI, and Mongo.
  • Understanding of Domain Driven Development and ability to express domain services via REST API.
  • SQL knowledge is essential.
  • Workflow and collaboration tools (JIRA, Lucidchart, etc.).
  • Adoption of AI-powered productivity and analysis tools (e.g., automated documentation, intelligent dashboards, AI-driven reporting).
