We are looking for an experienced Test Analyst to join a global technology environment supporting the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing and reporting on a range of manual and technical testing activities within an Agile environment.

  • Analyse business requirements and processes from end to end and translate them into effective testing requirements.
  • Develop, implement and maintain test plans, test cases and technical test scripts.
  • Perform manual, functional, frontend, backend and technical testing.
  • Execute regression, API, performance, security, reliability, negative, portability and path/condition testing.
  • Perform mobile testing across multiple devices, browsers and operating systems.
  • Conduct accessibility testing in line with ADA requirements using appropriate accessibility tools and screen readers.
  • Develop automation-ready test scripts and support the handover of scripts to automation teams.
  • Create, extract, modify, sanitise and anonymise test data for different testing scenarios.
  • Execute test cases, analyse results and identify defects or issues.
  • Capture, manage, retest and track defects using JIRA, following the required defect workflow.
  • Prepare accurate test reports and communicate testing results, risks, defects and issues to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Test Analysts, Developers, Business Stakeholders and external vendors throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Coordinate test data requirements and ensure appropriate test environment access for testing activities.
  • Follow up on defect fixes and perform manual retesting where required.
  • Track new and changed requirements and ensure they are adequately covered by testing.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and other team activities.
  • Support the planning and estimation of testing activities and execution effort.
  • Meet with end users and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into appropriate test scenarios.
  • Analyse and implement business requirements from a Quality Assurance and testing perspective.
  • Identify testing risks and communicate potential impacts to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure testing activities are completed accurately, thoroughly and within agreed timelines.
  • Degree, Diploma or relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
  • 2–4+ years of hands-on Software Testing / Quality Assurance experience.
  • Proven experience in Manual, Functional, Frontend, Backend and Technical Testing.
  • Strong experience in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience creating, executing and analysing test cases and technical test scripts.
  • Hands-on experience with Regression, API, Performance, Security and Reliability Testing.
  • Experience with automation scripting and preparing scripts for automation handover.
  • Strong SQL knowledge for test data extraction and validation.
  • Experience with test data creation, modification, sanitisation and anonymisation.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA and preferably Xray for defect and test management.
  • Experience with Postman and/or SOAPUI for API testing.
  • Experience with Confluence, Jenkins and BrowserStack will be advantageous.
  • Experience with mobile testing across multiple devices, browsers and operating systems.
  • Experience with accessibility testing, including ADA requirements, screen readers and accessibility testing tools, will be advantageous.
  • Strong defect management, test reporting and stakeholder communication experience.
  • ISTQB Advanced Level Agile Technical Tester or ISEB Intermediate Certificate in Software Testing.
  • Knowledge of Java and AWS will be advantageous.
  • South African citizens/residents are preferred; candidates with valid work permits may also be considered.
