Maintenance Fitter.

A well-established specialist manufacturing business is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter & Turner to join its maintenance team supporting critical production equipment and ensuring maximum operational uptime across a fast-paced production facility.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs and fault-finding on production equipment

Conduct machining and component refurbishment work

Maintain pumps, mixers, centrifuges and related mechanical systems

Support preventative maintenance initiatives to minimise downtime

Ensure accurate maintenance reporting and equipment reliability standards

Desired Experience & Qualification:

Qualified Fitter & Turner or Millwright (Trade Tested – Red Seal essential)

Minimum 1 year experience within a manufacturing environment

Strong machining experience including centre lathe and milling operations

Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps and rotating equipment

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals

Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance practices

Sound understanding of health, safety and lockout procedures
