Account Manager - Hoedspruit

We are seeking a motivated BSc Agri graduate to join our agricultural sales team. This role combimes pesticide testing services with agronomic consultancy, driving new business, managing client relationships, and providing technical guidance to optimize crop production and quality. The incumbent will focus on citrus, avocado and subtropical fruit clients, working closely with the Head of Pesticides to grow the customer base and ensure high-quality advisory and laboratory services.

1. Sales Performance

• Sell pesticide testing services and agronomy consultancy.
• Develop and maintain a database of leads and clients.
• Implement sales and marketing plans with Head of Agriculture.
• Provide timely reports and updates.

2. Pesticide Services

• Understand and advise on MRL analyses.
• Assist clients in interpreting lab results.
• Ensure compliance with client and industry requirements.

3. Agronomy & Technical Support

• Assist agronomist with agronomic advice.
• Conduct farm visits to access client needs.

4. Client Relationship Management

• Prospect and induct new clients.
• Conduct regular interactions and follow ups.
• Resolve client queries and complaints.
• Maintain accurate client records.

5. Lead Generation & Market Development

• Identify new business opportunities.
• Network with stakeholders and attend relevant events.
• Maintain an updated, market segmented database.

6. Operational Efficiency & Reporting

• Optimize efficiency and departmental systems.
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly activity reports.
• Support management with ad hoc tasks.

Requirements

1. Education

• BSc Agriculture,ND Agriculture - Sales & Marketing Diploma will be an advantage and Agronomy.

2. Experience

• Sales aptitude and pesticide and agronomy knowledge will be advantageous.
