Technician: Mechanisation (Riversdale, Western Cape)

SSK is seeking a qualified, experienced Technician to join its Mechanisation division in Riversdale, Western Cape. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the incumbent will manage the maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and repair of agricultural machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, possesses strong electronic and mechanical diagnostic capabilities, and is willing to work flexible hours or overtime based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and complex mechanical repairs on agricultural mechanisation equipment.
• Conduct fault-finding and electronic diagnostics using Electronic Service Tool (EST) diagnostic software.
• Maintain, calibrate, and support precision farming technology systems.
• Work on specialised agricultural machinery brands, including New Holland, Rovic, and Amazone products.
• Perform effectively under high-pressure conditions to meet strict operational deadlines.
• Be available for overtime and field service work as required by operational demands.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification / Trade Test (e.g., Diesel Mechanic / Agricultural Machinery Technician).
• Hands-on experience with New Holland, Rovic, and Amazone agricultural equipment is highly advantageous.
• Proven experience using EST diagnostic tools and precision farming technology.
• Valid Code B (Code 08) driver’s license or heavy vehicle driver's license.
• Ability to work under pressure and commit to overtime when required.
