Clinical Nurse (RN) Cath Lab experienced

A specialised opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with Cath Lab exposure in Centurion. This role is suited to a clinically confident nurse with a strong understanding of specialised nursing care and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterisation and related procedures.
• Prepare patients for Cath Lab procedures and ensure all required pre-procedure assessments and documentation are completed.
• Monitor patients closely before, during and after procedures, identifying and escalating any changes in condition.
• Assist the medical and multidisciplinary team during Cath Lab procedures.
• Administer prescribed medication and treatment safely and accurately.
• Ensure appropriate preparation and availability of equipment, consumables and patient care resources.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation.
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety and quality care standards.
• Apply current nursing principles and specialised clinical knowledge in the delivery of patient care.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.

Minimum Requirements

• Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
• Thorough knowledge of general and specialised nursing theory and practice.
• Extensive knowledge of modern nursing care principles and practices.
• Previous Cath Lab experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a specialised and high-pressure clinical environment.
