Are you a hands-on hospitality leader with a passion for exceptional guest experiences, premium service and developing high-performing teams?

We are recruiting a Hospitality Excellence Manager for a prestigious organisation situated in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, wine-tasting centre and kitchen, ensuring a seamless and consistently memorable guest experience.

The organisation’s preference is to appoint permanently; however, suitably experienced candidates who are available for a six-month fixed-term or seasonal opportunity will also be considered.

Managing the restaurant, tasting centre and kitchen operations

Leading, scheduling, coaching and developing the hospitality team

Maintaining exceptional service, food-quality and wine-presentation standards

Managing reservations, guest flow, queries and feedback

Overseeing stock, purchasing, suppliers, wastage and cost controls

Managing budgets, expenditure, revenue and profitability targets

Supporting menu, tasting and seasonal-experience development

Ensuring food-safety, hygiene, health-and-safety and liquor-licence compliance

Supporting events, special functions, trade visits and VIP experiences

Working with Sales and Marketing to strengthen the overall hospitality offering

A relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management or a related field

At least five years’ hospitality experience, including supervisory or management experience

Practical restaurant or food-and-beverage operational experience, including kitchen coordination

Experience within a wine estate, tasting room or premium hospitality environment would be advantageous

Good local and international wine knowledge would be advantageous

Strong leadership, guest-relations and conflict-resolution skills

Commercial understanding of budgets, stock control and cost management

Experience with point-of-sale and reservation systems; Pilot experience would be advantageous

A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport

his is a roster-based position requiring five working days per week, including weekends. The operation provides lunch service and wine tastings, with no dinner service.
