Millwright - Eastern Cape

A Millwright is required to minimise downtime of production equipment at our client’s Eastern Cape facility. The role requires a maintenance candidate who can work confidently across electrical, mechanical and automated plant systems

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and service production and plant equipment
• Attend to electrical and mechanical breakdowns efficiently
• Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules
• Conduct equipment inspections and identify maintenance requirements
• Diagnose faults across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and modifications
• Support maintenance during planned shutdowns
• Monitor equipment condition and recommend reliability improvements
• Investigate repeated breakdowns and assist with corrective actions
• Maintain accurate maintenance schedules and technical records
• Ensure tools and work areas are maintained to required standards
• Adhere to occupational health and safety requirements at all times

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Millwright Trade Test.
• Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities
• Knowledge of industrial machinery and plant maintenance
• Exposure to PLCs and automated equipment would be advantageous
• Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
• Diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Good organisational and time-management abilities
