Unit Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Unit Manager to provide effective clinical and operational leadership. This role is suited to a nursing professional who can maintain high standards of patient care while supporting and developing the nursing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day clinical and operational functions of the unit.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, quality and patient-centred nursing care.
• Lead, supervise, mentor and support nursing staff.
• Monitor compliance with clinical policies, procedures and quality standards.
• Manage staffing, rostering and resource utilisation effectively.
• Participate in quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
• Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation.
• Promote effective communication within the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse qualification with current SANC registration.
• Relevant management qualification would be advantageous.
• Previous unit management or supervisory experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of nursing standards, policies and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
