Role Purpose

The Analytics Graduate Analyst supports the delivery of analytics, data transformation, automation, and AI-enabled solutions for audit engagements.

The role focuses on extracting, transforming, validating, and analysing data while developing practical skills in modern analytics tools and technologies. Successful candidates will contribute to real client engagements while building a strong technical foundation within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Data Preparation and Transformation

  • Extract, transform, and prepare data from a variety of client systems and sources.
  • Perform data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Identify and investigate data quality issues and exceptions.
  • Assist in developing repeatable and scalable data transformation processes.
  • Document procedures, assumptions, and outcomes in accordance with established methodologies.

Analytics and Solution Development

  • Develop analytics procedures to support audit engagements.
  • Write and maintain SQL queries and data transformations.
  • Support the development of dashboards, reports, and visualisations.
  • Assist in testing and validating analytics outputs.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable analytics assets and solutions.

Technology, Automation and AI

  • Learn and apply modern analytics tools and technologies.
  • Support automation initiatives that improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Assist in the implementation of AI-enabled audit solutions.
  • Explore innovative approaches to solving analytical challenges.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Analytics Centre.

Audit Engagement Support

  • Work with analytics professionals and audit teams to understand requirements.
  • Deliver analytics outputs in line with engagement deadlines.
  • Support the preparation of audit evidence and working papers.
  • Assist in troubleshooting data and analytics issues.
  • Provide timely and professional support to stakeholders.

Qualifications And Academic Requirements

We are particularly interested in graduates from the following disciplines:

  • BCom Informatics
  • BSc Computer Science
  • BSc Data Science

Other technology, analytics, or data-focused degrees may also be considered where relevant.

Strong academic performance is preferred.

Technical Skills And Interests

Exposure to any of the following would be advantageous:
