Job title: Technical Analytics Supervisor

Role Purpose

The Technical Analytics Supervisor supports the delivery of high-quality analytics, automation, and AI-enabled audit solutions by providing hands-on technical expertise across complex engagements.

The role focuses on reviewing analytics workpapers, solving technical challenges, supporting solution development, and helping maintain high technical standards across the Analytics Centre. Working closely with analysts, senior analysts, and leadership, the successful candidate will provide practical support on complex data, analytics, automation, and technology-related matters.

This role is ideal for a technically strong individual who enjoys working directly with data, solving complex problems, and supporting others through hands-on technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery Support

  • Review analytics workpapers and supporting documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex analytics engagements.
  • Assist analysts in resolving data, transformation, and solution design challenges.
  • Support the development and enhancement of analytics, automation, and AI-enabled audit solutions.
  • Help ensure outputs are technically sound, efficient, and aligned with established methodologies.

Data Analytics and Problem Solving

  • Analyse complex datasets from a variety of client systems.
  • Design and implement data transformation processes.
  • Develop, review, and troubleshoot SQL queries.
  • Investigate data quality issues and identify root causes.
  • Support the development of scalable and repeatable analytics solutions.
  • Contribute to technical problem solving across multiple engagements.

Technology and Automation

  • Support analytics solutions built using SQL, Databricks, Python, Power BI, and related technologies.
  • Assist with automation opportunities that improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Provide technical input into AI-enabled audit solutions and emerging technology initiatives.
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing analytics assets and tools.

Knowledge Sharing

  • Share technical knowledge and practical solutions across the team.
  • Support analysts and senior analysts on challenging technical assignments.
  • Contribute to development of reusable code, templates, and technical guidance materials.
  • Help promote consistent technical approaches across engagements.

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, audit analytics, or a similar technical role.
  • Strong experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Experience in data transformation, cleansing, and validation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting delivery within a professional services, consulting, audit, or advisory environment is advantageous.
