Financial Manager

Financial Manager oversees the full accounting, financial planning, internal controls, and statutory compliance of the business while supporting senior management with commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Management Accounts: Prepare and present accurate monthly management accounts, balance sheets, income statements, and board reports.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee annual budgets, cash flow projections, and financial planning in partnership with the Dealer Principal.
• Profitability & Performance Analysis: Analyze departmental gross profit margins, floorplan interest, vehicle stock ageing, factory rebates, and bonus incentives.
• Internal Controls & Audits: Maintain strict financial controls, manage inventory/debtor/creditor reconciliations, and coordinate internal/external audits.
• Tax & Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local laws, including SARS tax returns, VAT, provisional tax, payroll taxes, and B-BBEE reporting (in South Africa).
• Team Leadership: Manage, train, and mentor the finance and administration team (bookkeepers, debtors, and creditors).
