CAD+T Kitchen & Joinery Designer

Joos Joiners, based in Stikland, Bellville, is seeking an experienced CAD+T Kitchen & Joinery Designer to join our team full-time.

The successful candidate will prepare accurate designs and technical drawings for bespoke kitchens, cabinetry and joinery projects, working closely with our sales and production teams.

Proven practical experience using CAD+T is essential.

• Prepare kitchen, cabinetry and joinery designs using CAD+T.

• Produce detailed technical and manufacturing drawings for factory production.

• Interpret client briefs, site measurements and project specifications.

• Ensure drawings accurately reflect dimensions, materials, hardware and construction requirements.

• Revise drawings following feedback and approved project changes.

• Work closely with sales and production teams to resolve technical queries.

• Check drawings for accuracy and completeness before submission for approval.

• Maintain organised project drawings and revision records.

• Manage workload to meet project deadlines and production requirements.

• Proven hands-on CAD+T experience is essential. AutoCAD experience alone does not meet this requirement.

• Previous experience designing kitchens, cabinetry, furniture or bespoke joinery.

• Ability to prepare and interpret detailed technical and manufacturing drawings.

• Sound understanding of cabinet construction, materials, fittings and hardware.

• Understanding of joinery manufacturing and factory production processes.

• Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving.

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with colleagues.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• CNC knowledge and additional AutoCAD experience will be advantageous.
