New Product Developer - Western Cape

An opportunity is available for New Product Developer to develop and improve food products in our client’s FMCG environment. The successful candidate will support the product development process from concept to commercialisation

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve food products in line with market and customer requirements
• Assist with new product concepts, formulations and product trials
• Conduct product testing and evaluate trial results
• Coordinate sample preparation and product evaluations
• Assist with recipe and formulation development
• Work closely with production, quality and procurement teams
• Support product scale-ups from laboratory or trial stage to production
• Maintain accurate product development and technical documentation
• Assist with troubleshooting formulation and production challenges
• Monitor product quality, consistency and performance
• Participate in sensory evaluations and product reviews
• Support continuous improvement and cost optimisation initiatives

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• BSC/ National Diploma Food Science/ Food Technology
• 3 - 5 Years product development experience
• Understanding of food manufacturing processes and product development principles
• Knowledge of food safety and quality standards
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
