Junior Mechanical Draughtsman - Revit MEP

Our client is a growing engineering consultancy looking for a Junior Mechanical Draughtsman to join their multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual to gain hands-on experience across building services projects, with exposure to both mechanical and electrical disciplines. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical draughting and Revit, with electrical experience being advantageous. The role offers an opportunity to develop into a well-rounded MEP professional while working alongside experienced engineers and designers.

Requirements

• Relevant Diploma, Certificate or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Draughting or a related field
• Education : Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Draughting or related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical/building services draughting
• Revit and AutoCAD experience are essential
• Strong mechanical draughting and technical drawing skills
• Exposure to HVAC, wet services or other mechanical building services will be advantageous
• Electrical draughting/building services experience will be highly advantageous

Responsibilities

• Produce and update mechanical building services drawings using Revit
• Assist engineers with the development and coordination of mechanical designs
• Prepare detailed layouts, plans, sections and technical drawings
• Assist with HVAC, wet services and other mechanical building services documentation
• Coordinate mechanical services with electrical and other disciplines
• Update drawings based on design changes and site information
• Assist with multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash detection
• Attend site visits where required and incorporate site information into drawings
• Maintain drawing standards, quality and document control
• Work closely with engineers, senior draughtsmen and project teams to meet project deadlines
