Packaging Machine Operator - Paarl

Our is an established Paarl-based business operating across retail and contract packaging.

They are looking fora reliable, hands-on Machine Operator and Minder to operate and monitor an individual packaging machine, keep the machine running efficiently, and help maintain consistent production output and product quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate and monitor an assigned packaging machine during production.

Check that the machine is running correctly and that products meet the required quality standards.

Monitor product flow, packaging materials and finished output, and report shortages or irregularities.

Make routine operating adjustments where trained and authorised to do so.

Identify machine stoppages, faults or production issues and report them promptly to the supervisor or

maintenance person.

Keep the machine and immediate work area clean, tidy and safe.

Follow production instructions, quality checks and workplace safety procedures.

Record production information and report output or problems as required.

Assist with packing, handling materials and other production duties when needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience operating or minding machinery in a production, factory or packaging environment is

essential.

Good practical and mechanical awareness, with the ability to notice when a machine is not running

correctly.

Reliable, attentive and able to stay focused while monitoring a machine.

Able to follow instructions, production procedures and safety requirements.

Willing to assist with hands-on production duties and work as part of a team.

Based in Paarl or surrounding areas, or able to travel reliably to the workplace.
