PROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEER / TECHNOLOGIST

Our client is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer/Technologist to join their team in Polokwane. This opportunity will suit a professionally registered engineering professional who is confident working across infrastructure programmes, with particular emphasis on programme coordination, technical monitoring and reporting.

Requirements

• Professionally registered with ECSA as a Professional Civil Engineer or Professional Civil Engineering Technologist.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in infrastructure development-related projects.
• Experience in civil engineering design and drafting.
• Knowledge of relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
• Experience in project and programme management.
• Strong report-writing skills.
• Knowledge or experience in civil engineering infrastructure planning and design will be advantageous.
• Strong customer focus, enthusiasm and a willingness to take ownership of assigned programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating and monitoring infrastructure programmes.
• Supporting the planning and design of civil engineering projects.
• Tracking programme progress and compiling reports.
• Conducting site inspections and providing technical advice.
• Assisting with contract management and project delivery.
• Monitoring compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulations and quality requirements.
• Contributing to the successful execution and completion of infrastructure programmes.
