About Race Coast
There is a moment that happens at every racecourse. The music is playing, the drinks are flowing, people are catching up between races and then suddenly the crowd shifts towards the track. Conversations stop. The horses turn for home. And for a few seconds, everyone is completely locked into a singular winning moment.
That is Race Coast.
Across four venues in the Western Cape and KwaZulu Natal, Race Coast brings together horse racing, live entertainment, fashion, food and major events that keep the atmosphere going long after the final race. From first timers figuring out the form guide to lifelong racing fans lining the rails, race day brings together all kinds of people in a way very few experiences can.
Formed through the partnership between Cape Racing and Gold Circle under the Hollywoodbets banner, Race Coast represents a new era for the sport in South Africa. One that keeps the history, excitement and theatre of racing alive while opening the gates to a broader and more social crowd.
Today, Hollywoodbets Kenilworth, Hollywoodbets Durbanville, Hollywoodbets Greyville and Hollywoodbets Scottsville continue to host some of the country’s biggest race days, festivals and celebrations. Together, they form a racing experience built as much around people and atmosphere as the action on the track itself.
