Position: Registered Nurse -Maternity

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse with Maternity experience who is passionate about supporting mothers and newborns through one of life's most precious journeys? We are looking for a skilled professional to join our dynamic maternity team and deliver exceptional patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to antenatal, labour, postnatal, and neonatal patient
• Monitor and assess mothers and newborns, identifying and reporting changes in condition promptly

• Assist obstetricians, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams during labour and delivery procedure

• Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed protocols and nursing standards

• Educate and support mothers and families regarding breastfeeding, newborn care, postnatal recovery, and health promotion
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with nursing and hospital policies

• Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients, newborns, and families

• Respond effectively to maternity and neonatal emergencies

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development activities

Minimum Requirements

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing

• Midwifery qualification essential

• Previous experience in a Maternity, Labour Ward, or Postnatal Unit preferred

• Sound knowledge of maternal and neonatal care practices

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills

• Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking abilities
