Junior Ladieswear Range Developer and Merchandiser

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Senior Merchandiser.
• Liaising and negotiating with customers/buyers.
• Trend analysis and trend forecasting.
• Assisting with presenting product ranges to potential customers/buyers.
• Liaising and negotiating with factories with regards to product, price, quality and delivery (local & import depending on portfolio).
• Developing and sourcing of new fabrics / products (sample/ product developments).
• Assisting with presentations and quotations of new products to clients/buyers.
• Checking and Signing off all product costings and ensuring company gross profit margins are achieved.
• Signing and Checking customer orders.
• Placing Purchase Orders and Signing Sales Contracts with factories (local & import depending on portfolio).
• Order Tracking and ensuring on time supplier shipment (local & import depending on portfolio).
• Ensuring on time customer delivery.
• Analysis and administration of orders from placement to final customer delivery including quality control (sample approval).
• Assisting with pre-production samples through to production approval within company policy and procedures.
• Assisting with recovering and monitoring any claims from factories for any losses incurred due to defective quality or late delivery.
• Control of courier costs for samples within company policy and procedures.
• Quality control specifications.

• 2 to 3 years experience as a Ladieswear or Kidswear Merchandiser, Range Developer, and Designer WITHIN A CLOTHING SUPPLY AND MANUFACTURE or FASHION RETAIL environment.
• Fashion related Degree or Diploma.
• Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and Excel.

R15,000 to R20,000 Cost to company per month (salary is dependent on years of relevant experience, current job level, tertiary education, skills, relevant product experience, etc.)
