Professional Accountant

We have an amazing opportunity for a Professional Accountant to join a well-established financial services provider, working within the FSP Department and taking responsibility for a broad range of accounting, tax and supervisory functions across a varied client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and conduct independent review engagements of financial statements for a range of entities, from small to medium-sized businesses and individuals
• Review financial statements and working files prepared by junior staff
• Supervise junior clerks, providing on-the-job coaching, feedback and assistance with queries and assignment completion
• Prepare income tax computations, tax returns and tax planning for corporate entities, groups, trusts and individuals
• Ensure monthly billing is completed on schedule and monthly targets are met
• Keep timesheets up to date on a daily basis
• Handle day-to-day operations and respond to client queries in a timely manner

We require a candidate with

• Proven experience in compiling and reviewing financial statements for a range of entity types
• Strong working knowledge of income tax computations, tax returns and tax planning (corporate, trusts and individuals)
• Supervisory or team-leading experience, with the ability to coach and support junior staff
• Strong client-facing skills and the ability to liaise confidently with Clients, Auditors and Partners
• Excellent time management and the discipline to meet monthly billing and reporting targets.
