ROLE DESCRIPTION

Annual Financial Statements Preparer & Independent Reviewer

Department: Accounting & Assurance

Qualification: BCom Accounting / CTA

Experience: 3–5 years relevant experience

Professional Registration: AGA-SA

Software Experience: Caseware, Xero and Greatsoft

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible primarily for the preparation of annual financial statements, together with accounting, tax and independent review assignments.

The role requires a strong technical accounting and assurance background, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines, and the ability to provide guidance and training to junior staff.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• BCom Accounting, CTA or equivalent relevant qualification.

• 3–5 years' relevant accounting, assurance and/or auditing experience.

• Registered AGA-SA and able to maintain registration for the duration of employment.

• Experience in the preparation of annual financial statements.

• Experience in independent reviews and assurance assignments.

• Good knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.

• Working knowledge of applicable auditing, assurance, ethical and Companies Act requirements.
