ASSISTANT SERVICE STATION MANAGER - Manguzi - 12k-16k pm

RS Recruitment is assisting a large RETAIL COMPANY to source an ASSISTANT SERVICE STATION MANAGER for their site in MBAZWANA (near Manguzi), R12 000 to R16 000 per month.

OUR CLIENT HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND IS PART OF A GROUP OF 350 RETAIL STORES ACROSS SOUTHERN AFRICA.

• Assisting the Site Manager with daily operations of the service station.
• Supervising staff across all departments (forecourt, convenience store, cashiers, cleaners).
• Ensuring excellent customer service and resolving customer queries.
• Managing stock levels, ordering, receiving, and shrinkage control.
• Monitoring fuel levels, deliveries, and pump operations.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and Engen operational standards.
• Overseeing cash management, daily cash-ups, and banking.
• Using Win Branch to manage sales, reporting, stock, and operational controls.
• Assisting with recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
• Ensuring all operational deadlines are met and reporting is accurate.
• Supporting the Site Manager with any additional operational or administrative tasks.

• A Matric certificate.
• A relevant tertiary qualification, an advantage.
• A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within a service station, retail, or FMCG environment.
• Strong experience on the Win Branch system (essential).
• High-calibre individual with strong leadership ability.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage a busy forecourt environment.
• Strong administrative, operational, and people-management skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Mbazwana, KwaZulu-Natal.

Approximately R12 000 – R16 000 per month. 195 hour contract.

The size of the team is +-40 people
