Data Engineer

Our client is seeking an Intermediate Data Engineer to join their team on a one-year fixed-term contract. This is an opportunity to work on data platforms, pipelines and cloud-based solutions within a collaborative hybrid environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in data engineering, platform engineering or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Practical experience with big data technologies.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and scripting.
• Good understanding of DevOps principles and automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a systems-thinking approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and a reliability-focused mindset.

Advantageous

• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Exposure to MLOps and machine learning workflows.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with real-time data processing.
• Experience within healthcare, research or public-sector environments.
