Salary: Basic salary plus commission

Experience Required: 1–2 years

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within the mining, industrial, commercial and construction sectors.

• Conduct external sales visits to prospective and existing clients.

• Promote the company’s electrical contracting services, maintenance solutions and technical capabilities.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, procurement departments and decision-makers.

• Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals and sales enquiries in collaboration with the technical and administration teams.

• Identify tender opportunities, supplier registration opportunities and potential service contracts.

• Maintain a sales pipeline and provide regular reports on leads, client visits, quotations and sales performance.

• Negotiate with clients within the company’s approved pricing and commercial guidelines.

• Achieve monthly sales targets and contribute to the company’s revenue growth.

• Represent the company professionally in all client engagements.

Minimum Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in external sales, business development or a similar sales role.

• Experience in electrical contracting, electrical supplies, engineering, mining services or a related technical industry will be an advantage.

• Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to identify sales opportunities and convert leads into business.

• Strong networking and client relationship management abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email and basic sales reporting.

• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to clients and operational sites.

• Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.

• A qualification or certificate in Sales, Marketing, Electrical Engineering or a related field will be an advantage.

The successful candidate will receive a basic salary plus commission, with the opportunity to increase their earnings based on sales performance and business generated.

The commission structure and sales targets will be discussed during the interview process.
