Executive Business Manager

Our client is seeking an extensively qualified and experienced Exceutive Business Manager to work closely with the leadership of a privately held investment business.

This is a broad senior-level role requiring strong commercial, financial, legal and strategic capability, together with the ability to manage and drive a variety of business matters and projects.

• Provide support across strategic, commercial and operational business matters.
• Evaluate business and investment opportunities and provide recommendations.
• Review financial information, business cases and commercial proposals.
• Assist with transactions, acquisitions, negotiations and due diligence.
• Review and manage commercial contracts and liaise with external legal advisors.
• Coordinate with accountants, financial advisors, attorneys and other professional advisors.
• Assist with corporate governance, risk and compliance matters.
• Research and analyse complex business issues.
• Drive key projects and ensure actions and deliverables are followed through.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
• Provide independent, commercially sound input into important business decisions.

We are looking for an accomplished professional with a strong corporate background and broad business exposure.

Ideally, you will have:

• Significant corporate, commercial, investment or professional services experience.
• A relevant tertiary and/or professional qualification.
• Additional qualifications such as CA(SA), MBA, LLB/LLM, CFA or equivalent would be highly advantageous.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.
• Exposure to legal, corporate governance, investment and/or transactional matters.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The confidence to operate independently and challenge ideas constructively.
• Exceptional discretion, integrity and confidentiality.

The ability to move between strategy, analysis and practical execution.

This role would suit a high-calibre corporate generalist who brings breadth of experience, sound judgement and the ability to deal confidently with complex business matters.
