Size Change-Fitter

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure machine availability at all times within the planned budget. To be accountable for the service and maintenance of machines in the area of responsibility

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Do machine set ups and planned maintenance.

• Daily walkthrough inspections.

• Morning inspections of plant to make running adjustments and check for lubrication and leaks.

• Preventative maintenance checks.

• Attend CFT activities.

• Apply 5S principles.

• Fabricate precision replacement parts.

• Must be able to make use of measuring equipment e.g. micrometer, vernier etc.

• Perform standby duties.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Qualified Fitter

• N4 – N6 engineering qualification

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the mechanical field on rotation machinery, hydraulics and pneumatics in a manufacturing environment
