Project Manager I Data I Contract

The successful candidate will take ownership of project delivery for a technical, data-focused client, guiding the team on deliverables and holding team members accountable. The role requires relevant project management experience, proficiency in Microsoft Project, familiarity with data terminology, and the confidence to manage stakeholders assertively in a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project delivery from planning through to completion
• Plan, track and report on project progress using Microsoft Project
• Guide team members on deliverables where required
• Hold team members accountable for agreed deliverables and timelines
• Manage client and internal stakeholders, keeping communication clear and professional
• Engage confidently with technical teams on data-related deliverables, risks and actions
• Remain composed and assertive under pressure in a challenging client environment

Requirements

• Relevant project management experience at an intermediate level
• Experience using Microsoft Project (client-required tool)
• Familiarity with data terminology and experience working with technical clients
• Exposure to managing data or technical projects (advantageous)
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Confident and resilient, with the ability to take ownership of delivery
• Ability to remain composed and assertive in a challenging environment

 Education

• Matric (required)
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or recognised certification from an accredited institution)
