Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities

Position Title: YES HSE Graduate

L ocation: Uitenhage

Department: Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

Reporting to: Plant HSE (Uitenhage) & Country HSE Manager

Contract: 12 Months Contact

Closing Date: 13 November 2026

The HSE Graduate responsible for guiding management regarding HSE processes and requirements to ensure legal compliance per legislation and the application of the Group’s HSE policy and procedures

The Main Missions Of The Role Are

• Conduct internal HSE measurements, inspections, and audits to analyse the site’s risks and bring solutions to improve the working conditions; the level of industrial safety; and respect for the environment.
• Propose and annual HSE action plan to the Site Management.
• Coach and support the plant management and deploy in HSE practices and requirements.
• Participate in Forvia’s HSE network and deploy all HSE Standards within the organization.
• Monitor and ensure implementation of legal compliance and manage the site’s relations with local government and regulatory organizations.
• Monitor the reporting of HSE indicators (FR0t, environmental data,…).
• Organise and drive HSE audits and trainings.
• Perform accident/incident investigations.

Position Requirements

Qualifactions

The minimum qualification/s required for this position is/are:

• Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Industrial Engineering or Health, Safety & Environment related field

The Ideal Graduate Should

• Between the ages of 18- 35
• Fluent English language knowledge written and spoken
• Never been registered with the YES (Youth Program)

Knowledge & Experience

• Ideally 1 year of working experience within a production environment
• Compliance with the Company's Cybersecurity, Information Security, and Data Protection policies is a condition of employment.
• The incumbent is expected to safeguard confidential information, maintain secure work practices, and promptly report any suspected security incidents.
• Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety & Environment skills
• Competency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc…)
• Knowledge of HSE tools and methods : AMDEC, 5 why methodology, job instruction, audits, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
