Fire & Security Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine fire risk assessments.
• Maintain and inspect fire protection equipment.
• Coordinate fire prevention initiatives.
• Conduct emergency response drills.
• Train fire marshals and emergency response teams.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety standards.
• Investigate fire incidents and near misses.
• Maintain emergency response plans.
• Coordinate daily security operations.
• Manage contracted security service providers.
• Monitor CCTV and access control systems.
• Investigate security breaches and incidents.
• Review and approve visitor access procedures.
• Conduct site security inspections.
• Manage key control systems.
• Support loss prevention initiatives.
• Develop and maintain emergency response procedures.
• Coordinate emergency exercises.
• Lead emergency response during incidents.
• Liaise with local emergency services.
• Participate in business continuity planning.
• Maintain statutory fire inspection records.
• Compile monthly fire and security reports.
• Monitor fire and security KPIs.
• Track coorective actions arising from incidents and audits.

Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Firefighter I and II certification.
• Incident Command System (ICS) training.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
