Network Solutions Engineer

The key purpose of this role is to design, deploy, and support complex fibre and wireless network solutions, providing technical leadership across enterprise projects while ensuring scalability, performance, security, and long-term client satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and deployment of complex network solutions for Herotel Business customers
• Conduct on-site assessments and develop customised end-to-end network architectures
• Design and configure networks from the ground up, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across LAN, WAN, fibre, wireless, routing, switching, and firewall environments
• Provide high-level technical consulting and support to Sales and Service teams
• Create detailed technical documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and proposals
• Act as the technical lead during project scoping, implementation, and post-installation support
• Integrate and optimise vendor platforms including Mikrotik, Unifi, Cambium, Huawei and others
• Perform firmware upgrades and ensure optimal system performance
• Ensure adherence to security standards and network design best practices
• Deliver projects within agreed timelines and budgets while meeting performance benchmarks
• Provide root cause analysis and preventative solutions for network incidents
• Develop internal technical guides and assist in upskilling junior technicians and support staff
• Identify potential new high-value clients through site visits and consultations
• Propose tailored network solutions to prospective clients, contributing to business growth

What You’ll Need

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology
• A+ and N+ certifications (required)
• MTCNA and/or MTCRE certification (required)
• Additional certifications such as MCSE/MCITP, CCNA/CWNP, UBWS/UBWA will be advantageous
• 5+ years networking experience (Mikrotik, TP-Link, ZTE, Huawei, Cisco, Juniper)
• 5+ years access point experience (Unifi, Reyee, Huawei)
• 3+ years VoIP experience (Porta 1, Bicom, Yealink, Samsung, Quintum)
• Strong expertise in WAN, LAN, routing, switching, firewall security, and network topologies
• Proven ability to manage complex network projects from concept through deployment
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability
• Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
• Strong planning, organisation, and attention to detail
• Leadership capability and strong communication skills
• Self-disciplined, motivated, and results-oriented mindset
